Fascinating! Another book that I will have to acquire. I must say though that the distinction between "divinity and philosophy" as Bacon put it had some very unfortunate consequences. The separation seen there allowed for the secular understanding of science that we have today. There must be an understanding that the two are inseparable (for the Christian and thus in reality) and that divinity/theology is the highest domain of knowledge. Scripture is true in all that it states.

Good essay.
God speaks truly without speaking technically.
That remains difficult for modern readers because modern people often assume:
technical precision = higher truth
phenomenological language = lower truth
But ordinary speech never works that way.
We still say:
sunrise
the sun went down
the weather changed
without implying geocentrism.
Great stuff here as I continue on my journey into spirituality/religious faith minus Man's spin on Christianity, Islam, etc.
Thanks!
