I thought W T Kirkpatrick was Lewis’s private tutor and retired headmaster, and not his boarding school tutor. I understood Lewis’s father arranged for CSL to be educated by Kirkpatrick because of CSL’s aversion to the British boarding school system. Of course I may be wrong but that was my understanding.
