Great post, I had heard once that apologetics is the handmaid to evangelism. Its a delicate balance of being excited to defend the faith but for the core goal to be that the person you're talking to hears and understands the gospel.

Stellar ideas in this essay. Well done! It has been said that apologetics will not save anyone, and that is true as far as it goes. The function of apologetics training is to have a response to barriers brought up by people as the apologist is having a polite conversation.

Another well-thought article by Professor Gould. I especially like the part where he wrote, "We have to force others back, and back again, to the question of reasonableness and ultimately truth. Christianity is good, and good for the world because it is true." Amen to that.
