Thank you, I really enjoyed this. Well written and comprehensive treatment of the topic. I love it when people extol the infallibility of science as absolute. I like to ask them if they have ever heard of the primary elements of caloric and phlogiston.
Great article. Your comments about proof vs. evidence are perfect. I am considering this subject for my next book, which like my current one, will focus largely on biology, where so much evidence abounds.
Agree, the evidence for a creator God is overwhelming in the field of biology. Stephen Myers’ books & articles at the Discovery Institute are worthwhile.
These are the scientific arguments that began my journey from atheism to theism decades ago. Thank you for the article. The "Dictionary Of Christianity and Science" has a special place on my desk.
I sometimes find myself wondering about the faith of those who seek “proof” of the existence of God. The discerning can certainly “see” the eternal upholding of physical reality by the Infinite, but scientific investigation of physical phenomena will never reveal the personal God of salvation or that the First Cause and the God of eternal salvation are one and the same. Such an insight is the child of faith, the true faith that springs from the inner experience of the relationship with the Heavenly Father.
The proof of the existence of a personal and loving God is granted in the inner life of every individual by the Heavenly Father. Discovering that proof is wisely left as an exercise. To those of faith, no evidence of God apart from the experience of knowing Him is necessary; to those without faith, no evidence from the external world will ever be sufficient.
Amen, preach it, brother! Yes, the Big Bang strongly suggests an act of creation by an all-powerful God, and the evidence of fine-tuning makes the case overwhelming. This is a good write-up. I covered some of the same ground in chapter 7 of my book *The Grand Coherence: A Modern Defense of Christianity.* You do better with some specific examples and garnering statements from non-religious physicists that make clear this isn't just a Christian idea. I go into a lot more depth about the philosophic aside, and how to reason from fine-tuning, using the framework of Bayesian and rationality that I've developed in earlier chapters. But lots of common ground.
The scientific method helps us navigate the physical rules of the spacetime continuum but even science is now wrestling with mysteries it can’t explain.
Quantum physics, for instance, has revealed a world that defies classical logic. Intel’s quantum processor is said to operate across dimensions, seemingly accessing power beyond space and time. What if that’s not just advanced engineering but evidence we’re brushing up against the veil between realms? A tap into primal energy, not just electricity.
Meanwhile, catastrophism science reveals something even more profound: historical evidence of cyclical earth resets: geomagnetic, solar, and seismic events that reshaped civilizations. These aren’t random or purely physical. They track with spiritual inversions in human culture. Think of the Flood in Genesis as not just a myth, but a memory of what happens when humanity turns its back on truth.
Today, we’re watching our world tip again. Since the 1960s, we’ve measured mounting geomagnetic instability. Simultaneously, we’re witnessing the spiritual breakdown of civilization: corrupt leadership, anti-human policies, the worship of false gods in the form of state, technocracy, and identity cults.
They tell you to trust “the science” but they’ve weaponized it into a religion of control. They silence dissent, enforce conformity, and replace divine order with digital obedience.
This isn’t climate change. It’s a spiritual climate crisis, and just like before, the Earth will respond.

Thanks, Greg. Yes, good old phlogiston.

Thanks, Sy. We'll be featuring your new book on behalf of Tyndale when it comes out this summer.

Many thanks, Mark. It took us five years to put the Dictionary together, so I'm always glad to hear when someone finds it helpful.

Glad to hear you're writing on these topics as well, Nathan.

A remnant will remain. The covenant renewed.
Last time, it was Noah.
This time… maybe it’s us.
