Thanks for mentioning Williams’ book, now in my reading list. To me, believing is an existential imperative because I wouldn’t be able to bear life without the hope of being with my loved ones after death. However, reconciling belief with science is also an existential imperative to me, which makes things more difficult. Not impossibly difficult though: there are ways to reconcile science and faith.
Thanks Giulio. In addition to Chris's good suggestions, I'm also reading Melissa Cain Travis's _Science and the Mind of the Maker_ and enjoying it quite a bit. Very readable and insightful. You might like it.
Thanks, Giulio. Yes, it's great to know that we can enjoy eternal life with our loved ones. A couple of authors I would recommend on the topic of Christianity and science, if you're interested, are John Lennox and Alister McGrath.

Thanks Chris, I wasn’t familiar with John Lennox and Alister McGrath. Will take a look.
